The year 2024 is approaching, and numerous auto manufacturers are gearing up to introduce their latest cars in the Indian market. These new cars will include both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric powertrain models. While the list of cars launching in 2024 is extensive, we have selected five upcoming cars that are expected to hit the Indian market next year.

Hyundai Creta Facelift:
Hyundai Motor India is set to launch the new version of their popular Creta SUV in early 2024. The Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads multiple times, and it will come with significant design and interior upgrades. The new Creta is expected to feature a dual-screen setup and an all-black interior. In terms of design, it will sport a new set of alloy wheels, updated LED headlamps and tail lamps, and an LED light bar.

Mahindra Than 5-door:
Another highly anticipated car is the five-door version of the Mahindra Thar. Expected to launch in early 2024, this variant will come equipped with a range of features, including a large infotainment system, a new grille design, and new alloy wheels. The five-door Thar will also have a longer wheelbase, providing more space for second-row passengers and additional boot space. The mechanical specifications are not expected to undergo major changes, with the current-gen Thar utilizing a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Tata Harrier EV:
Tata Motors is likely to introduce the Harrier EV in the Indian market by late 2024. Initially showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo 2023, the Tata Harrier EV will receive a new paint theme with Bronze and White hues. It will be based on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture and is expected to be offered in a dual-motor configuration. Although specific details haven’t been disclosed yet, the Harrier EV is projected to have a range of approximately 500 km.

Kia EV9:
South Korean car manufacturer Kia will bring the EV9 to India by mid-2024. Displayed as a concept at the Auto Expo 2024, the production-spec Kia EV9 boasts a boxy design and bold styling cues. Internationally, it is available in two powertrain options – a 76.1 kWh battery on the Standard variant and a 99.8 kWh battery on the Long Range variant. The EV9 Long Range variant is expected to offer a range of over 540 km per charge on the WLTP cycle with an 800V charging system.

Tata Curvv:
Finally, Tata Motors’ much-anticipated Curvv SUV is expected to hit the Indian market in mid-2024. The concept vehicle was showcased in 2022 and is anticipated to feature a large panoramic glass roof integrated into the rear spoiler, along with a coupe-like sloping roofline. The Tata Curvv will come with triangular-designed LED headlamps, a horizontal light bar, flush door handles, ventilated front seats, and a large touchscreen infotainment system. The mechanical specifications for the Curvv SUV have not yet been revealed by the company.These upcoming car launches in 2024 are generating excitement among car enthusiasts in India. With a diverse range of models, both traditional and electric, the Indian automotive market is poised for an interesting year ahead.
